Built as a motel & lodge in 1973 on the edge of the Historical Mining community of Wakefield Michigan at the western end of the Upper Peninsula. In 1990 a new owner, a major renovation and a Country Inn was born. What is a Country Inn - A big bed & breakfast.

All the rooms feature private bath w/large shower, remote cable TV, Individual heat, central air controls. Home Baked Cinnamon Rolls, Muffins, Coffee, Hot Chocolate & Tea in our fireside room each morning Some Rooms offer full breakfast, gourmet breakfast, room service and other food options for additional charges. Just down the hall a 50’s Ice Cream Parlour & Soda Fountain. We feature Chocolate Shoppe® Ice Cream, desserts and a limited food menu. It is also a great place for a card game, board game or a puzzle. Summer time offers a large deck for your enjoyment and some good BBQ.

With 200 plus inches of snow in winter, there is great Alpine & Nordic skiing, miles of snowmobile trails, snowshoeing and ice skating.
Spring gets all that snow running through our many waterfalls to Lake Superior. Spring color burst out around every corner and lots of new wildlife.
Summer brings more wild flowers and great temps to ride your bike, hike a trail, enjoy our lakes and rivers. Check out our geocacheing & letterbox sites.
Fall is when we see the most photographers, but the pictures are just waiting year around. It is a great time to get that last outdoor activity in, before we move into winter white. Hunting, fishing and all the other activities can still be enjoyed and then a quiet evening at the Inn.
